Semen Padang Football Club (FC) optimistis bisa keluar dari zona degradasi saat menghadapi Arema FC dalam lanjutan Liga 1 Indonesia yang berlangsung di Gor Haji Agus Salim Kota Padang, Sumatera Barat, Jumat (27/12).

 

"Secara keseluruhan tim sudah siap menjamu Arema FC pada laga terakhir menjelang rehat pertengahan musim Liga 1 Indonesia 2024/2025," kata pelatih Semen Padang FC Eduardo Almeida di Padang, Rabu.

 

Untuk menghadapi tim berjuluk Singo Edan yang saat ini bertengger di urutan ketujuh klasemen sementara dengan mengoleksi 25 poin, tim Kabau Sirah (julukan Semen Padang) melakukan sejumlah persiapan di antaranya latihan rutin hingga mengatur dan mengasah pola strategi yang akan diterapkan saat pertandingan.

 

"Kami optimistis bisa mengamankan tiga poin pada laga menghadapi Arema FC karena tim sudah menyiapkan segalanya," ujar pelatih berkebangsaan Portugal tersebut.

 

Laga menghadapi Arema FC tersebut merupakan salah satu pertandingan penting bagi Semen Padang mengingat saat ini tim kebanggaan Ranah Minang masih tertahan di urutan ke-17 dari 18 tim di papan klasemen sementara.

Sayangnya, saat menjamu Arema FC skuad Semen Padang FC harus bermain tanpa tiga pemain kunci, yakni Rosad Setiawan yang juga kapten tim, Gala Pagamo yang berposisi sebagai sayap kanan, dan Bruno Dybal gelandang asal Brasil.

 

Sementara itu, Asisten Manajer Semen Padang FC Maskur Rauf mengatakan klub tersebut telah melakukan perburuan terhadap sejumlah pemain yang akan didatangkan ke Gor Haji Agus Salim Padang pada pertengahan musim.

 

"Kami telah menghubungi beberapa agen untuk mengontrak pemain lokal maupun pemain asing," ujar dia.

Terkait laga menghadapi Arema FC, ia optimistis tuan rumah mampu mengamankan tiga poin sehingga bisa keluar dari zona degradasi. Namun, jika gagal menang maka perjuangan di paruh musim kedua akan jauh lebih sulit.
